Barbara Lightburn has been involved in the community service and regional development industries for over 30 years. With extensive experience in economic business development, support coordination, NDIS plan development and delivering services to individuals, along with a Bachelor of Education, Masters of Dispute Resolution and a Masters in Positive Behaviour Support being completed, Barbara is a leader in the field of Support Coordination and Specialist Support Coordination. Barbara is a passionate advocate who believes in the rights of people with disability to be heard, and to live their life the way they choose.

Carmen Bliss
Support Coordinator – Limestone Coast

As an individual with lived experience of NDIS funding and planning, Carmen brings true understanding, compassion, and humanity to the role of Support Coordinator.

It was Carmen’s interest in wellbeing that prompted her to complete a Bachelor of Counselling and Diploma in Positive Psychology. This was followed by ten years of experience in counselling, career counselling and holistic wellbeing. Bringing these skills with her Carmen joined the Support Coordination team. Her communication skills are highly accomplished, she is approachable and considered in her manner. She listens to understand then designs and coordinates a plan of supports that incorporate individual needs, NDIS goals, and personal aspirations for the future.

Reflecting on her own personal experience with the NDIS, Carmen meticulously examines services and reviews supports delivered, addressing any gaps or issues promptly. She ensures each participant has access to high quality, relevant and person-centred support services.

Cathy Jones
Support Coordinator – Barossa and Mid North

It was Cathy’s lived experience and the introduction of the NDIS that influenced her commitment to becoming a Support Coordinator, advocating for people with Disabilities. Cathy stands by her belief that everyone has a right to live their best life, and everyone has a voice.  In her own words “sometimes we need to change how we listen, to truly hear people”.

Cathy’s experience in the disability sector ranges from disability support worker and advocate to Plan Manager with the NDIS. Her experience is bolstered by a Bachelor of Law and Commerce and her current studies in a Masters of Disability. This commitment to her professional development in the Disability Sector is a testament to the engagement Cathy brings to her role of Support Coordinator. Cathy is driven to build a network of quality service providers that are person focussed, and that deliver on their promises. She is not afraid to advocate loudly so people with disabilities are heard, and they receive services that are relevant and high quality.

Cathy is gentle and unassuming; she listens openly and builds a strong rapport with people easily. It is her nature to be caring and kind, but with the strength and courage to speak up and empower people with disabilities.

Jo Green
Support Coordinator – Barossa and Gawler

After completing a Degree in Social Science (Human Services) Jo knew her pathway was in Support Coordination. Her conviction to provide choice and opportunity to people with disabilities, along with 7 years’ experience in allied health, creates a Support Coordinator who is person-centred, delivers on what is possible, and addresses what is not. Jo is honest in her dealings and won’t make promises she can’t keep.

Jo exudes warmth and engages intently with participants, building confidence and open communication.  She thinks creatively to identify appropriate supports that match with NDIS goals and individual’s needs.  Jo collaborates with a broad network of providers to ensure the right connections are made and continues to review and appraise suitability and accountability of services.

Jo is modest, respectful, and approachable. She will work with you side by side, to coordinate the supports that are right for you.
